Job summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room on a PRN seasonal basis. This role expects a minimum commitment of 72 hours per two weeks during the seasonal period, with occasional float to nearby facilities to meet staffing needs.

Four weekend shifts per four-week cycle are required. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with providers, and support pain management and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required in applicable state.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications or eligible within specified timeframes.
• 1 year acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered ER care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to meet patient needs.
• Document care in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.

Skills

RN License

ACLS within 30 days

BLS within 30 days

PALS within 6 months
