Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for ER PRN coverage. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, using established nursing models to support optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include accurate pain assessment, timely documentation, prompt response to patient requests, and patient education on conditions, treatments and follow-up. A commitment to compassionate care aligns with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and active status.
• Stroke and crisis intervention certifications required within specified timeframes.
• ACLS and BLS required within designated periods.
• PALS or pediatric life support as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain; reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures and document care timely in the medical record.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients/families about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
