Job summary

Emerus operates a 20-bed small-format hospital with 10 ER and 10 Inpatient units. This full-time night shift RN role in Pennsylvania focuses on assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room.

Responsibilities include documentation, patient safety, infection control and coordinating discharges and admissions. Required are an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), active RN licensure, and 2+ years ER or equivalent experience, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS; Act 33/73 clearances

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
  • 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross; TNCC preferred.
  • Fluency in English; written and oral communication.
  • Pennsylvania Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed within the last 5 years or obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific nursing care.
  • Complete accurate documentation on medical records.
  • Observe and record signs, symptoms and behaviors.
  • Follow physician's orders in nursing care.
  • Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures.
  • Perform admissions, discharges and transfers.
