Job summary

Lexington Health in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our full-time night shift team. You will apply the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED environment.

The ideal candidate has an active South Carolina RN license, strong critical-thinking skills, and the ability to advocate for patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma or BS in Nursing.
• New graduates educated online may not meet minimum qualifications.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides education to patient and family in a manner they can understand their condition, medications, and self-care skills.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions.
• Uses systematic critical-thinking to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention and evaluation.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Demonstrates professional responsibilities and adheres to hospital policies.
