Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality inpatient care in a hospital setting under general supervision. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians to implement care plans in line with OU Health values.

The role requires an Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing, an Oklahoma RN license or compact, and BLS certification. 1+ year of patient care experience preferred, with strong communication and teamwork to support a

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 1+ year of patient care experience as an RN.
• Current RN license (OK State Board or eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and nursing standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses and notes changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers safe, competent patient care.
• Resolves patient complaints per policy with support staff.
• Informs patients/families about procedures and care plans.
• Makes referrals for patient care needs.
• Maintains licensure and pursues mentorship for growth.
• Develops personal and department goals aligned with metrics.
• Supports an inclusive workforce and values diversity.
• Delegates tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
