Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in our care setting. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, uphold patient autonomy, and apply critical thinking to nursing processes and education.

Other duties may be assigned as needed. Must have RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy is required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients based on their medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed and ensures safety.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Develops and evaluates teaching plans with family involvement.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and technical tasks.
• Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinates with social services.
• Demonstrates cost-efficient use of supplies and equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
• Engages in lifelong learning within nursing.
