Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is looking for a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care to a defined group of patients within nursing services. The RN will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care, maintain comprehensive documentation, and ensure adherence to standards and procedures to meet patient outcomes.

The role requires current Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with NIHSS training desirable.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• The RN plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Provide holistic patient-centered care across physical, emotional, psychosocial, and functional domains.
• Establish nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures to guide care.
• Ongoing assessments and documentation to establish baselines for future comparisons.
• RN ensures accurate documentation, adequate supplies and is knowledgeable in operation of equipment.
• The RN acts as educator to peers, patients, and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
