Job summary

Olathe Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department (PRN) position at Olathe Hospital. The role requires coordination of patient care with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring safe, holistic care and adherence to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.

The RN will provide direct nursing care, participate in triage, educate patients and families, and demonstrate leadership in clinical decision-making and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma and Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - State Board of Nursing (Kansas) or compact license.
• CPR/BLS certification and other unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety and order writing.
• Provide direct nursing care and triage for ER patients, including oncology treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to assess patient and family needs.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentor teammates; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond promptly to patient safety concerns.
• Utilize technology for patient care delivery and compliance with policies.
