Job summary

Valley Health’s Emergency Department in Berkeley Springs, WV is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to support the team with variable shifts. The RN will perform the nursing process, coordinate patient care, and participate in teaching and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Nursing (RN) with at least two years of RN experience, and current BLS certification. A BSN is preferred. Licensure must be valid and active in the appropriate state.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• Two years of RN experience is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Virginia Board of Nursing licensure considerations apply; must be licensed or eligible as RN in the appropriate state.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
• Coordinate patient care, ensure quality communication, teamwork and leadership.
• Provide patient teaching and participate in safety initiatives and department activities.
