Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care in the Night shift, PRN capacity, at Methodist Midlothian Medical Center. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care, while supporting the hospital’s mission and patient safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, current Texas RN license or eligibility, and a minimum of six months RN experience, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families and staff.
• Documents patient information completely, accurately, and timely in the chart.
• Administers medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Communicates effectively with the care team to coordinate patient care.
• Assists with patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
