Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department Transition to Practice program. You’ll support orientation, deliver evidence‑based care, and coordinate education with a focus on ED patient outcomes.

The role requires an active Virginia or compact RN license, BLS within 90 days, and 1 year of inpatient nursing experience. Night shift, 36 scheduled hours per week, with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or Compact multi‑state, in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Care for ED patients and support transition to practice program.
