Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in a contingent Day Shift role. The unit features trauma care and a 47-bed unit with 10-bed overflow, offering comprehensive patient-centered nursing care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring individualized treatment and quality outcomes for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN credentialed in Michigan within 2 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 3 months of hire.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Develop multidisciplinary care plans to optimize length of stay and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families, addressing fears with clear teaching.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform dressing changes and glucose monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses and respond to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers to arrange discharge planning and follow-up.
