Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program required.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa required.
• Minimum of 6 months of acute care nursing.
• RQI BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• RQI ACLS Certification within specified period after employment.
• RQI PALS Provider or ENPC within specified period after employment.
• TNCC within 6 months of employment.
• Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to maintain courtesy and cooperation with coworkers, physicians, patients, and visitors.
• Must demonstrate knowledge to provide nursing care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional emergency nursing skills for acutely ill/injured patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide care within IBON scope and hospital policies; alert Charge nurse of concerns.
• Promote patient-centered care respecting patient preferences and needs; coordinate and ensure continuity of care.
