Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Hamilton, Montana. The on-site role requires caring for patients across ages with varying acuities in a rotating 12-hour schedule, 36 hours per week, with some night shifts.

ACLS is required, and additional ED certifications are preferred. The position offers a demanding but rewarding environment in a critical access hospital, with a supportive team and a focus on compassionate emergency

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Montana.
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including emergency department.
• ACLS certification required; TNCC/ATCN preferred; ENPC/PALS preferred; NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to ED patients with varied conditions and acuities.
• Conduct patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and start appropriate nursing interventions.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with providers and nursing teams; communicate clearly with the team.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care during the emergency visit.

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nursing Assignment in Hamilton, Montana

Seeking an adaptable Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment at a critical access hospital in Hamilton, Montana. Provide compassionate emergency care across the age spectrum in the scenic Bitterroot Valley, surrounded by mountain views, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming small-town community. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER RN who is confident caring for patients with varied acuities in a dynamic emergency department.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
• Assignment Dates: October 12, 2026-January 11, 2027
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including some nights
• Call: No call
• Work Setting: On-site critical access hospital emergency department

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Montana
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including required emergency department experience
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, clinical documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across the age spectrum and with varying acuities
• TNCC or ATCN certification preferred
• ENPC or PALS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to emergency department patients with a wide range of conditions and acuities
• Perform patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Apply the nursing process and accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate patient care activities and collaborate with providers, ancillary teams, and fellow nurses
• Communicate patient status, clinical findings, and care needs clearly to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Promote patient safety, comfort, education, and continuity of care throughout the emergency visit
