Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for diverse patients. This role supports development and maintenance of clinical programs to promote desirable patient outcomes.

The position processes orders, dispenses medications, participates in departmental clinical initiatives, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while advancing educational goals within the department.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred but not required.
• Preferred hospital pharmacy experience.
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preceptor license through OK State Board upon hire.
• ASHP PGY1 residency preceptorship upon hire.
• Board certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
