Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the Emergency Department across our San Diego campuses. You will review orders, monitor drug therapy, counsel patients, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD, California Pharmacist License, and certifications (ACLS/BLS); preferred residency in emergency or critical care; experience with cost-effective formulary management and hospital medication-use

Qualifications

• PharmD required for appointment.
• CA Pharmacist License required in CA State Board of Pharmacy.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the Emergency Department.
• Review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Communicate with nurses and physicians about therapeutic issues.
• Participate in code-blue emergencies and pharmacotherapy management.
• Promote cost-effective therapy and formulary adherence.
