Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking an ER Technician II to provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient support in a fast-paced Emergency Services environment.

You will perform therapeutic treatments as ordered, operate laboratory equipment, assist with discharge and education, and coordinate with the care team. A Texas EMT-P (or National EMT-P), current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days, plus a high school diploma, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required) or National EMT-P Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care in the ER.
• Perform therapeutic treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Operate laboratory equipment and monitor patient status.
• Assist with patient discharge and education.
• Support the Emergency Services team and uphold Methodist Health System standards.
