Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Raeford, NC is seeking a Night Shift Paramedic to join the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, perform clinical and clerical duties, and respond to urgent situations in a high-volume ED setting.

Required NC Paramedic certification and BLS, with at least 1 year of paramedic experience. Strong communication, safety awareness and ability to lift heavy loads are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic certification by the NC Office of EMS required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs and monitor respiratory status.
• Initiate oxygen therapy per protocol and cardiac monitoring as needed.
• Administer approved medications as delegated by RN/provider.
• Perform airway management including suctioning and ET tube care.
• Move and transport patients and liaise with care teams.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
