Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL seeks an Emergency Room Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) to support nurses and physicians in a fast-paced ED. You will monitor vitals, assist with procedures, stock supplies, transport patients, and provide patient support.

Entry-level NAs are welcome; current CNA preferred. BLS within 30 days is required, with a focus on safety and infection control in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient needs (bathing, dressing, toileting) and help reposition/transfer patients as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and assist with wound care under supervision.
• Prepare rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked; transport patients within the hospital.
• Assist with procedures and provide CPR/BLS if certified.
• Document patient information and observations; report changes to nurses/doctors; provide emotional support.
