Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role involves direct patient care in Telemetry with a focus on safety and high-quality outcomes.

Schedule includes days and nights across 3 x 12-hour shifts, with perks like a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications, and experience in acute care; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of nursing personnel in Telemetry.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
