Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital's Emergency Department is actively seeking a dedicated Emergency Registered Nurse to join a 35-bed unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role emphasizes clinical assessment, care planning, and team-based patient care for a high-acuity population.

Unionized environment with rotating weekends and holidays. Qualified candidates will hold PA RN licensure (or eNLC) and CPR certification, with 1 year of ER experience or 2 years acute care.

Qualifications

• Must hold PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
