Job summary

Beloit Health System in Beloit, WI, seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for our fast-paced ED. Sign-On Bonus: Yes. Shift options include 1st/2nd varied or 3rd shift. Schedule is 12-hour shifts with varied start times. Hours per week are 24 or 36. Dept: Emergency Department. Responsibilities include triage, critical care, trauma coordination, and ED nursing care, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• State of Wisconsin nursing licensure or permit required.
• State of Illinois nursing licensure or permit (NorthPointe) required.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• ACLS completion within six months of hire.
• PALS completion within one year of hire.
• TNCC or TNS highly recommended.
• Strong communication with patients and families under stress.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and assess physically and psychologically for ED patients.
• Manage multiple cases, prioritizing care continuously.
• Coordinate with ED team and EMS for patient care.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and vital signs in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians and licensed providers during exams and treatments.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are ready for emergencies.
