Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an experienced ED Registered Nurse for its North Valleys ER. The role entails providing professional nursing care 24 hours per week, coordinating with physicians and other disciplines, and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will perform thorough head-to-toe assessments, triage, monitor hemodynamics, and manage pain while communicating patient status changes promptly to ED physicians.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• 2–3 years exp in the emergency department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists as needed.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Use triage processes to ensure timely, appropriate care and assign categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
