Qualifications

• ASN and BSN required or within specified timeframe to enroll in BSN program
• RN license in KY at hire
• BLS/CPR: within 14 days
• ACLS: within 90 days
• PALS: within 6 months
• Trauma Nurse Core Course: within 12 months
• Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program on hire

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking to determine need for interventions.
• Implements and/or modifies plan of care with education and discharge planning; collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice, preserving patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments per policies and procedures.
• Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
