Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with department and state standards. You will collaborate with providers and the care team to advocate for patients and families, guiding care plans and health education within the hospital’s mission.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely documentation, responding to patient needs, and teaching patients and caregivers

Qualifications

• 1+ Years ER Experience Required
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• RN licensed and qualified to practice nursing in Tennessee

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management
• Document care in the patient medical record promptly and accurately
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Educate patients/families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures
• Instruct on non-medicinal follow-up measures like diet and exercise for self-management
