Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient status, documenting in the EHR, and coordinating care with the team. BSN preferred; BLS certified; may float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
