Job summary

McKenzie Health is seeking a Med-Surg/ER Registered Nurse in Watford City, ND. The RN provides direct nursing care and leads CNAs and NAs in daily activities within the Med-Surg and ER departments.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care plan updates, admissions/discharges, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires ND RN licensure, ADN, and willingness to obtain ACLS/PALS/TNCC as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in North Dakota or compact state.
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BLS certification required or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification preferred, with willingness to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily nursing activities of CNAs/NAs on assigned areas.
• Ensures policy compliance by nursing staff.
• Participates in admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Observes patients and notifies physicians as needed.
• Administers medications per orders and monitors for adverse effects.
• Initiates, reviews, and updates care plans.
• Performs rounds to ensure patient needs are met and outcomes.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Responds to emergencies per facility policies.
• Maintains stock of medications and supplies.
