Job summary

Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital in Holly Springs, NC is seeking a Relief ER/ICU Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Medical Assistant to join our emergency and critical care team. The role involves working varied shifts in a fast-paced, 24-hour facility and providing high-level nursing care to critically ill patients.

The candidate should have 2+ years of professional veterinary experience (GP accepted) and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years professional veterinary experience; GP experience accepted.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill hospitalized patients with the ER/ICU team.
• Take part in nurse rounds and triage incoming emergency cases.
• Perform diagnostics and treatments for emergency and hospitalized patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and maintain monitoring logs.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as required.
• Maintain isolation protocols for infectious patients and ensure patient safety.
