AERC is seeking a full-time Technician's Assistant for the Emergency & ICU Day Shift in Oakdale, MN. The role focuses on assisting veterinarians and technicians in high-acuity cases, preparing supplies, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

You will work alongside a dedicated team in a fast-paced veterinary setting, supporting patient care and client service while developing hands-on skills in emergency and critical care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with animals in clinical, shelter, or veterinary settings is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Comfort in busy, high-acuity environments is needed.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems are required.
• Ability to stand, lift, and assist with animal handling for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely restrain patients and support procedures as directed.
• Be an extra set of hands where the team needs you most.
• Prepare supplies, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Collect and run basic diagnostics as trained.
• Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Support accurate documentation and workflow in the EMR.
• Communicate clearly and calmly with team members in high-stress situations.
• Support technicians and doctors with patient care and treatments.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
