Emory Healthcare in Atlanta is seeking an EMT for PRN as-needed coverage in the ED. The role requires current EMT-I/EMT-A/EMT-P certification and CPR, with a preference for ED experience. You will assist in patient transport, triage, and basic procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include IV placement, specimen collection, wound care, and documentation while collaborating with MD and RN to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifikationen

• Must have current EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P certification and CPR.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; EMT-Advanced/Intermediate training preferred.
• One year related experience and ED exposure preferred.

Aufgaben

• Ensures patient comfort with blankets, updates on treatment, and nourishment.
• Performs peripheral IV placement, specimen collection, phlebotomy and blood cultures.
• Places urinary catheters and documents procedures accurately.
• Transports patients to tests and to floor beds; assists in acute or code situations.
• Collaborates with MD/RN; supports care and triages in emergency settings.
