Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Critical Care: Emergency Room in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a full-time position offering 36 hours per week with a dayshift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00.

The role supports nursing staff with direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, and requires a HS diploma or GED, completion of Nurse Aide I, and BCLS certification; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of an applicable state State Approved Nurse Aide I course required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under the direction of the RN.
• Performs procedures correctly under the direction of the RN.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information.
• Communicates with the team, co-workers, patients and family members in a professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Provides age/developmental appropriate care per guidelines.
