Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to deliver high‑quality pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced, trauma and stroke center environment. You will work with ED physicians to evaluate patient needs and optimize drug therapy and dosing.

This full‑time role includes day and night shifts focused on evidence‑based interventions, cost containment, and close collaboration with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• PharmD in Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Texas Pharmacist Registered upon hire.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred.

Description

The Clinical Pharmacist has the responsibility for the provision of high-quality, individualized, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and integrated pharmacy operational services in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life. Pharmacists work closely with our ED physicians at the bedside to evaluate patient needs, comorbidities and provide recommendations for drug therapy and dosing. The Covenant ED is a Level 2 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center making it a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients that require expert clinical pharmacist support.

This is a Full time, Day and Night shift position.

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD in Pharmacy or

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.

• Upon hire: Texas Pharmacist Registered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy experience, 1 year or equivalent experience.

• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.
