Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's SAGE San Francisco is seeking an ER Clinical Lead for swing shift to oversee the ER/CCU, mentor RVTs and assistants, manage patient flow, and uphold clinical excellence.

This role blends advanced veterinary leadership with hands-on nursing, SOP implementation, and collaboration with emergency veterinarians and hospital leadership to deliver exceptional care and service. Strong communication and staffing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of clinical ER/CCU experience required.
• CA RVT license preferred.
• Experience in veterinary leadership or supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, coach, and support RVTs and assistants in ER/CCU.
• Oversee day-to-day ER/CCU operations and patient flow.
• Serve as a clinical resource with emergency and critical care skills.
• Partner with veterinarians, specialists, and leadership to optimize workflows.
• Implement SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Assess competencies and provide training and development.
• Create monthly staff schedules and manage payroll considerations.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, and high-quality care.
