Job summary

Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT, is opening EmPATH—Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing unit—first in Connecticut. We are seeking Staff RNs with a passion for Emergency medicine and Behavioral Health; new grads are welcome to apply.

The unit provides a patient-centered, calm environment and opportunities to grow in crisis care. Qualified candidates must hold CT RN licensure and have at least 1 year of ER nursing experience; crisis experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• CT RN licensure required.
• Minimum of 1 year ER nursing experience required.
• ED Crisis RN experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in the EmPATH unit.
• Monitor patient status and respond to psychiatric/behavioral crises.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and care continuity.
