Texoma Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented admissions assistant to perform Pre-Admission and Admission services across hospital areas. You will verify patient identity, maintain EMR accuracy, and collect financial information at admission or discharge.

Qualifications

Reading and numerical competency.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs Pre-Admission and Admission services to all patients in all areas of the hospital. Correctly identifies patient and maintains accurate patient information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collects Financial information including payment from the patient/guarantor. Obtains insurance information, benefits and obtains authorizations for services. Calculates insurance company co-payments, deductibles and collects financial responsibility due from patients at the time of admission or discharge. Obtain Medical and Financial Consents, secure proper signatures on required documents. Provides required information to patients concerning their Patient Rights, Privacy and Advance Care Directives.
