Job Description
Provides market research support in compiling and publishing high‑quality, comprehensive analysis and research on individual corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, evaluate data and conduct modeling on multiple inputs related to companies/industries and/or financial markets and economic analysis.
- Develop research reports, including initiating coverage reports, thematic reports, quarterly reporting initiatives, and marketing packages.
- Assist in developing valuation tools and forecasting models (e.g., quarterly and annual earnings).
- Maintain and enhance financial models and databases.
- Stay current on market data, economic information, and key industry developments, and internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain contact with market participants and work closely with senior research leads on ongoing publication of research reports.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and support client presentations when required.
- Demonstrate governance, control, and risk‑management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
- Participate in cross‑functional initiatives as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance for complex situations.
- Conduct meaningful analysis at functional or enterprise levels and make recommendations to improve programs and practices.
- Manage relationships within and across business lines to ensure alignment with regulatory and business priorities.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supporting effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/group and the bank, internally and/or externally.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- FINRA SIE, Series63,86,and87, or willingness to obtain; holds or is working toward a CFA designation preferred for publishing analysts and associates.
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Expert level professional experience in own domain with broad related knowledge, advanced analytical methods, and ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong communication skills, ability to build stakeholder alignment, and serve as an escalation point or knowledge resource.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary within the range of $115,000 – $200,000 USD, with variable compensation and incentive awards. Additional benefits include health and well‑being plans, retirement programs, paid time off, banking benefits, and career development opportunities.
