Qualifications

• At least 1 year of analytical experience beyond accounting/finance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Data Science field.
• Ability to arrange fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings.
• Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to complete a robust model (base and sensitivity cases).
• Ability to discuss the drivers and risks of your industry/country.
• Ability to synthesize disparate information into a clear thesis.
• Proficiency in reading Chinese-language disclosures and engaging Mandarin clients.
• Strong preference for data science/consulting backgrounds and non-consensus research.
• Creativity in solving problems; readiness to explore new approaches.
• Ability to thrive under competitive pressure and focus on client needs.
• Ability to interact with business clients and management.
• CFA/CPA or progress toward is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to thematic sector reports; collaborate on cross-sector projects.
• Handle day-to-day client requests and needs efficiently.
• Communicate your team's ideas persuasively to internal and external parties, tailoring communications to client needs.
• Organize fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings upon clients' bespoke requests or for investor tours.
• Suggest new approaches or ideas to enhance your franchise as a business.
• Understand and adhere to the firm's risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory rules.
