Job summary

Point72 is seeking a motivated analyst to support its Fundamental Equities business in Stamford. You will learn the investing process with your PM, build detailed financial models and forecasts, and conduct rigorous fundamental research on public companies to identify opportunities and risks.

You will present actionable recommendations, attend conferences, and develop relationships with analysts and salespeople while upholding the firm’s ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Learn your PM’s and team’s investing process and exchange insights, identify cross-sector themes, and debate investment ideas
• Build and refine detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses of public companies within your sector
• Conduct fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and subsectors to identify emerging risks and potential investment opportunities
• Develop and present actionable investment recommendations directly to your PM
• Attend conferences and industry events
• Build relationships with relevant sell-side analysts, salespeople, and research associates
• Embody Point72’s commitment to ethics, professionalism, integrity, and excellence—especially in partnership with our Compliance team
• Analyze and incorporate macroeconomic and industry-specific developments and trends into your research

What’s Required

• 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge fund, investment management, private equity or another relevant industry role
• Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills
• Passion for public markets investing
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$240,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
