Job summary

Oak Park Elementary District 97 seeks a dedicated and dynamic part-time Title I Tutor to join our team. The Title I Tutor position will help keep equity at the center of tutoring services to positively impact student learning and staff practices as reflected in Board Policy 7:12: Ensuring Racial and Educational Equity.

The role focuses on reading and/or math support for eligible students, with collaboration for progress monitoring and instructional planning in K-5 settings.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of reading and/or math content standards.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies for small groups, individuals, and full classroom settings.
  • Knowledge of various student assessment techniques.
  • Knowledge of equity-centered practices as expressed in Board Policy 7:12.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for reading and/or math services in individual, small group, and/or full classroom settings.
  • Communicates regularly with classroom teachers regarding individual student progress.
  • Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of the district's reading or math content standards.
  • Conducts student assessments to identify intervention services, to plan instruction, and/or to assist staff members in learning various assessment techniques.
