Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Social Studies Teacher at Meadowdale High School to begin upon hire through the end of the 2026-27 school year. The position requires a Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Social Studies endorsement.

Preference will be given to candidates with ELL/ESOL or Bilingual endorsements; SIOP and GLAD training must be completed within the first two years unless proven, prior completion. Salary is per the 2026-27 schedule.

Qualifications

• Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Social Studies endorsement or ability to obtain one before start.
• Preference for candidates with ELL/ESOL/Bilingual endorsement.
• SIOP and GLAD training offered if not previously completed; must be completed within first two years.

Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies to high school students.
• Cover 1.0 FTE leave replacement through end of 2026-27 school year.
• Professional development for SIOP/GLAD as required within two years.
