Job summary

World Gospel Church in Indiana seeks a full-time Associate Pastor for Equipping to align, equip, nurture, and shepherd education and disciple-making ministries under the Senior Pastor and elders. The role includes care of the flock and oversight of children’s ministry staff, and it serves on the pastoral team.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in church ministry, with leadership experience, strong relational and communication gifts, and a humble, integrative spirit for gospel-centered

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight, direction, equipping, and pastoral care to nursery, children’s, and educational ministries of the church (including Sunday school, small groups, and discipleship group leaders and other discipling and educational ministries).
• Recruit and train volunteers and engage in ongoing ministry evaluation and improvement.
• Facilitate development systems for future church leaders through administration and coordination with the Senior Pastor.
• Follow a personal development plan with the Senior Pastor for effective disciple-making, administration, and pastoral care.
• Interface with office workers, staff, and relevant committees to ensure effective communication among ministry workers and the broader church body.
• Coordinate ministry activities and schedule with the Senior Pastor and staff and relevant committees as part of an effective pastoral team.
• Provide updates to the elder council and attend elder council meetings as requested.
• Provide pastoral care in coordination with the Senior Pastor for attenders and members through hospital visits, one-on-one and couple meetings, and crisis care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor, including periodic preaching and teaching.
