Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX is seeking an Equipment Technician I - Medical Equipment to organize, stock, and maintain supplies and equipment across the hospital and pavilion, including cleaning and prep for use.

The role monitors equipment performance, coordinates repair schedules with in-house teams and vendors, keeps detailed logs, and supports staff in using equipment safely. This is an on-site night-shift position with a focus on quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Organizes supply room; maintains supplies to meet par levels.
• Maintains equipment to ensure proper operating efficiency; assesses repair/replacement needs and routine maintenance.
• Coordinates repair/maintenance schedules with in-house departments, outside contractors, and vendors; monitors equipment performance for trends.
• Maintains detailed logs on equipment status and quality controls.
• Assists others in equipment utilization and adheres to OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.

Summary

Organizes, tracks, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment throughout the hospitals and pavilion. This position also monitors or provides cleaning of medical equipment and prepares it for use.

Responsibilities

• Organizes supply room. Maintains supplies to meet and maintain agreed upon par levels.
• Maintains equipment to ensure proper operating efficiency. Assesses need for repair/replacement or routine preventative maintenance. Maintains crash carts by restocking and outdating expired supplies.
• Coordinates repair and maintenance schedules with in-house departments, outside contractors, and/or vendors to ensure availability of equipment. Monitors equipment performance for higher than average failure rates or other trends.
• Maintains accurate, complete, detailed logs on the status of equipment and/or quality controls of equipment.
• Assists other personnel in achieving competency in equipment utilization. Complies with OSHA guidelines and universal precautions. Takes initiative to be aware of changes in guidelines.

Work Experience

How You'll Be Successful:

• Less than 1 year Minimum 6 months related experience Preferred

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent Required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Preferred
