Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Mechanic to manage fleet, 2-cycle, and small equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, blade care, and basic electrical work, with scheduling support for on-site vendor services.

Experience with basic truck and vehicle maintenance is preferred, and bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Willingness to train and adapt to a fast-paced outdoor environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• In-House Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on 2-cycle handheld equipment, commercial mowers, and utility vehicles.
• Blade Care & Tool Maintenance: Sharpen, grind, balance, and replace lawn mower blades and hedge trimmer blades.
• Trailer & Basic Electrical: Perform basic 12V trailer wiring fixes, light replacements, and tire pressure checks.
• Vendor & Mobile Service Scheduling: Serve as the primary branch point of contact to schedule and coordinate on-site vendor services.

Duties And Responsibilities

• In-House Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on 2-cycle handheld equipment, commercial mowers, and utility vehicles.
• Blade Care & Tool Maintenance: Sharpen, grind, balance, and replace lawn mower blades and hedge trimmer blades.

Education And Experience

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
• Repetitive movement: standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

Work Environment

• Noise level in work environment is usually moderate
• Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, including sun, rain, cold
