Job summary

Asahi/America in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, improve, and build equipment that keeps our production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC‑controlled systems, design improvements, fabricate tooling, support new equipment installations, and collaborate with Production and Quality to solve manufacturing challenges while learning our plastic fusion technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; diagnose why something failed, not just replace parts.
• Can read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics; comfortable with hand and power tools.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment; PLCs, welding, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, improve, and build equipment that keeps production lines running safely and efficiently.
• Design and install equipment improvements, fabricate tooling and fixtures, support new equipment installations.
• Work with Production and Quality to solve manufacturing challenges; learn plastic fusion technologies.
