Job summary

Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT seeks an Equipment Specialist for the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Aviation Division, FMS Operations Department, and International Programs. The role requires advising on provisioning, configuration management, and market research for aviation equipment and similar systems.

At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-11 is required.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a primary technical advisor executing a full range of technical logistics functions, specifically provisioning, configuration management, and market research for aviation equipment or similar complex systems.
• Interpreting complex supply data and providing contracting support to formulate solutions that meet sustainability goals for international partners or allied forces.
• Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to evaluate equipment readiness, resolve life-cycle management issues, and align technical logistics strategies with organizational or command-level strategic goals.
• Collaborating across logistics, engineering, and contracting divisions to ensure configuration baselines are maintained and international partner requirements are successfully executed.

Job description

You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Aviation Division, FMS Operations Department, and International Programs of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent o the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Serving as a primary technical advisor executing a full range of technical logistics functions, specifically encompassing provisioning, configuration management, and market research for aviation equipment or similar complex systems.
2. Interpreting complex supply data and providing contracting support to formulate solutions that meet sustainability goals for international partners or allied forces.
3. Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to evaluate equipment readiness, resolve life-cycle management issues, and align technical logistics strategies with organizational or command-level strategic goals (such as those of NAVSUP WSS).
4. Collaborating across logistics, engineering, and contracting divisions to ensure configuration baselines are maintained and international partner requirements are successfully executed.
