Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company seeks an Equipment Service Technician to perform mechanical services on cold drink equipment in the field, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance. The role involves moving equipment, maintaining tickets, and ensuring safe operations.

Responsibilities include repairs, inventory management, cross-functional coordination, and strict safety compliance while traveling to customer locations. Valid driver’s license and forklift experience are preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience is required.
• Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to use a voltage meter is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and technology literacy.
• Experience using a forklift is preferred; PIT certification may be required on hire.
• Valid driver’s license with adequate insurance and clean driving record.
• Missouri drivers and locations require Class-E license.

• Manages parts inventory for the vehicle; orders supplies and conducts bi-annual inventory audits; keeps vehicle organized.
• Forges cross-functional relationships with Planning, Sales, and Customers to coordinate activities and communicate openly.
• Complies with safety standards; maintains a safe work area and completes safety training; uses required PPE.

Job Summary

The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for performing mechanical services on all cold drink equipment. The Technician maneuvers the equipment to troubleshoot and perform the required fix. Technicians also provide preventative maintenance services.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in the field to keep in proper operating condition. Maintains positive customer relationships with effective communication.
• Maintains and completes required work tickets in the hand-held equipment.
• Ensures vehicle has accurate and appropriate levels of parts inventory by practicing Kaizen initiatives; this includes ordering new supplies, performing bi-annual inventory audits, and keeping vehicle clean and organized.
• Builds successful cross-functional relationships with Planning, Sales, and Customers by creating open lines of communication for all parties and coordinating activities effectively.
• Complies with safety standards: maintains safe work area, complies with safety standards, completes daily stretches and assigned safety training, and utilizes all PPE (personal protective equipment).

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience required.
• Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to use a voltage meter preferred.
• Basic computer application and technology skills.
• Prior experience using a forklift preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
• Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines including no major violations within the last three years.
• Class-E Driver’s license required for Missouri drivers and locations only.

• Speaking: Constantly with customers (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
• Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
• Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (order confirmation, instant messaging, texting)
• Mobility: Frequent travel throughout customer locations (walking in backrooms, aisles, greeting customers)
• Bending/Squatting: Frequently (lifting and placing equipment in stores/offices)
• Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (moving vendors, placing fountain units)
• Pushing/pulling: Frequent use of manual carts
• Climbing: Frequent entering and exiting the cab of a truck
• Driving: constant travel between customer locations (must be able to drive delivery vehicles)

Pay:$$23.00 to $25.50 an hour
