Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Labor & Delivery Unit teammate to collect, clean, and transport patient care equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in patient care. The role supports equipment delivery within priority guidelines across the facility.

The position emphasizes knowledge of patient care equipment, combined with attention to safety and correct handling as part of a busy care environment.

Qualifications

• Health care experience with knowledge of patient care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled equipment and specialty carts throughout the facility and returns the equipment to designated area for cleaning.
• Terminally cleans equipment according to manufacturer's recommendation and inspects equipment to assure patient safety. Returns equipment to proper storage locations.
• Performs physical inventory, requisitions and replenishes items to support equipment and specialty carts. Requisitions supply items utilizing Materials Management Information System.
• Locates equipment utilizing equipment tracking system.
• Documents and requisitions equipment rentals as needed.
• Documents equipment issues, repairs and location throughout the facility.
• Delivers specialty carts (i.e., code cart, isolation cart, urology cart), patient care equipment and equipment accessories within established priority guidelines.
• Assembles bedside patient traction upon request.
• Perinatal - Handles and transports specimens according to policies and procedures, assists with transporting and transferring of patients while using correct body mechanics.

Hourly Rate: $18.54 - $24.68The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
