Job summary

Bunkhouse Equipment Room in Austin, TX is hiring a Server Assistant/Food Runner for a part-time, hourly position. You will assist bartenders and servers, ensuring efficient and prompt service while upholding Bunkhouse policies and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have basic hospitality experience, a current Food Handler certification, and strong communication skills to greet guests and answer questions about menu items.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Up-to-date Food Handler's Certifications.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace (English).

Responsibilities

• Run food orders to serving staff or directly from patrons.
• Serve snacks or food items to customers as requested or submit order to Kitchen.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Must speak on menu and specific items, ensuring they can answer patrons’ questions about items.
• Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.

Summary

The Opportunity:

A Server Assistant/Food Runner will assist bartenders and cocktails servers in ensuring we deliver efficient and prompt service. The SA/Food Runner must be a collaborator, team player, and quick on their feet.

The person having this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. All Bunkhouse employees are expected to greet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcome. Furthermore, Servers must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values, and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors, and partners.
