Job summary

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of relevant progressive mechanic/electrician/instrumentation experience.
  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Must be computer literate, proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet; uses Maximo CMMS for labor and material tracking.
  • Must possess and maintain current certifications in Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT1), Vibration Analysis Level I, Machinery Lubrication Analysis (MLAI), and Ultrasound Level I within 18 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform primary testing and inspections of capital equipment at ~30 water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Engage in predictive maintenance methods including oil analysis, vibration analysis and infrared imaging.
  • Track equipment reliability issues and collaborate on investigations considering downtime costs and spare parts availability.
  • Collect and test oil samples and determine suitable lubricants for equipment.
  • Use CSI analyzers and data collection tools to assess lubrication and bearing conditions; adjust as needed.
  • Record predictive maintenance data and recommend corrective actions using software such as Emerson Machinery Health.
  • Assist in developing procedures and training to ensure equipment operates within design parameters.
  • Review equipment specs and contribute to reliability improvements.
