D&R Tank Company in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist to oversee safety protocols and the maintenance of our manufacturing and heavy construction equipment. You will conduct regular inspections, enforce safety standards, and coordinate repairs to keep gantry cranes, CNC machines, dust collectors, and forming rolls operating safely.

The role requires hands-on maintenance planning, record-keeping, and collaboration with operations to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance within manufacturing or heavy construction.
• Experience with operating and maintaining high-powered (480V) equipment.
• Experience with welding and weld equipment.
• Ability to create preventative maintenance plans for older equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of manufacturing equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures in compliance with regulations.
• Train employees in proper equipment usage.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on specialized equipment including cranes, wheelabrator, forming rolls, dust collectors, CNC plasma cutting, and press brakes.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operations to identify and address safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and is in optimal condition.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate repairs with vendors when needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends in safety and maintenance.
